A Brief Story the Medical Records Tell

   
  LT's medical records tell a story all too familiar, to others that have dealt with our medical institutions during C-Vid.  LT enters hospital via ambulance.  Complaining of shortness of breath.  Tests positive for C-Vid. Diagnosed with double C-Vid pneumonia.  She is given morphine, then Remdesivir and put on high flow oxygen. Her condition worsens, she then is put in a medical induced coma in order for her to be put on a ventilator.  While on ventilator she is heavily sedated by a various number of drugs, due to her being agitated.  She has constant coughing fits and spikes a fever indicating an infection.  At this point the drug list seems to follow an end of life care protocol.  Three days into this protocol they finally perform a sputum test in which she passes away before the test results come back from lab.  Test results show a fungal/bacterial infection.  this is just a brief summary of the medical records, moving forward I will break them down day by day for more clarification.  Check out these links to follow others stories.
